Stephanie Hatten

School Counselor

MEd. CCC.

Where are you from?

I am a Third Culture Kid. Although I was born in the UK, I was also raised in Germany and Singapore and went to boarding school in London for four years. I have three grown daughters. I have worked as a counsellor in England, Thailand, Canada, Kuwait and India. I enjoy living in different countries because of their diverse cultures, the people and topography. I like to travel often and love being around lakes and the sea.

Where did you attend College?

Simon Fraser University, BC, Canada.

What inspired you to become a school counselor?

I was meant to be a school counsellor. I love helping students find their passion in life and supporting them to reach their goals. It is very exciting to see youth grow into competent and caring citizens and community members. School counselling is such an integral part of our educational experience.
