ES Food Drive!

23 March 2021

Dear ES community members,

Each year in the Elementary School, we have conducted a food drive to assist our building's nannies and maids over the summer months. This year, with lockdowns and the limitations on movement caused by COVID, the help we offer is even more important.

As we have done in the past, we would like to collect non-expired dried goods such as pasta, beans, rice, lentils, sugar, coffee, tea, salt, etc., and canned goods, such as peas, beans, corn, tomato sauce, canned fruits, tuna and the like. We are unable to accept things, which are frozen or fresh foods, which might spoil quickly. Cooking oil and powdered milk are also very welcome items.  We would also like to keep this to healthy types of food, rather than chips or chocolate.  Additional types of items, such as bar soap, laundry soap, toothpaste, and shampoo, and other toiletry items are also welcome.

Our food drive will last for two weeks, from April 5th through the 15th.You are invited to discuss with your children ways in which we might do good works within our community by helping those who are struggling, and what forms those actions may take. We encourage all of our BBS family to join together to offer a useful gift to our nannies and maids.

All donations of food boxes are to be submitted through ES Gate 5 during regular school hours.  Items will be quarantined in an isolation room outside of the ES building before distributing them equally between the elementary maids. We invite you to participate in any way that you can.
